If you've been looking for an opportunity to "think globally but act locally," in Montgomery County then mark your calendars for the Community Clean Water Summit on February 26, 2011 and show your support for local streams.
Join us for a fun filled day of networking and volunteerism. Meet with local environmental leaders who are working to make Montgomery County a cleaner and healthier place to raise a family. Learn about how you -- yes, you! -- can make a difference and make new friends by getting involved with the citizens’ organizations that are looking out for your neighborhood stream.
Attendance is free, and we will not solicit donations.

Directions
- Coming from 495 take Rt. 29 (Colesville Road) south into Silver Spring.
- Go for about 1 mile and look for Fenton St. (The City Place Building/mall is on the southeast corner). Turn left onto Fenton Street.
- Go 2 short blocks to Ellsworth St. Turn left onto Ellsworth.
- A parking garage is on the left, the Civic Building is on the right.
OR
- Going south on Georgia Ave.
- Turn left onto Spring Street.
- Cross Colesville Road. (Spring Street becomes Cedar St.)
- Go 2 short blocks on Cedar to Ellsworth Street.
- Turn right onto Ellsworth.
- A parking garage is on the right, the Civic Building is on the left.
